Steve's professional career began at Ernst & Young (EY), where he audited some of the largest private equity and venture capital firms in the region. This role laid the foundation for Steve's career, equipping him with invaluable skills in accounting, compliance, and financial analysis. Following his tenure at EY, Steve worked at Moody's Ratings, where he assessed the creditworthiness of public sector entities, including major California cities such as San Francisco and Los Angeles. In this role, he monitored the West region's public sector portfolio, overseeing billions of dollars' worth of rated debt. In addition to his corporate experience, Steve founded and successfully sold one of the largest staffing agencies in Eastern Washington, where he lived for a few years. This entrepreneurial endeavor provided him with firsthand insights into business operations and growth strategies. Steve's journey came full circle when he returned to the company he had sold, serving as CFO and successfully spearheading its expansion into new markets.
Currently, Steve also serves part-time as an adjunct professor of finance at the University of San Francisco, sharing his knowledge and experience with aspiring business professionals.
